We are pleased to offer our families several aftercare options...
The City of San Rafael Community Services division offers on-site child care at the Vallecito Children's Center. Participation is at the parent's expense (although subsidized), and requires pre-registration. Space is limited and is always in great demand.
Kindergarten Aftercare: 1:25 pm - 2:35 pm *
After School: 2:35 pm - 6:30 pm *
* - Kindergarten and after school care begin immediately after kindergarten/school on early release days.

The mission of the Recreation Reimagined After-School Program is to provide participants quality, on-site care in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Ages TK-5th.
Recreation Reimagined Staff: Our staff are highly-trained, energetic and motivated and our goal is to provide your child with the best after school experience possible in a fun and safe environment. Every staff member is certified in CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer by the American Red Cross and all staff members have been fingerprinted and undergone a background check.
Program Schedule
The Recreation Reimagined program follows the Miller Creek School District academic schedule. The program begins immediately after students are released (including early dismissal days) and runs until 6:00pm. The program will not run on non-school student days.
The Marin JCC’s Clubhouse is a unique place where TK-5th graders from all over the community come to make new friends, explore, do their homework, find their artistic side, swim, play, try new things, and have a blast.
Each day Clubhouse J starts with a healthy snack and homework time. The children then choose from an assortment of activities before heading out to our outdoor enclosed field and playground to play. Swim lessons are included on Fridays.
The Marin JCC van picks up Vallecito students immediately after school.

TK/Kindergarten $35 a day
1st – 5th Grades $28 a day
