Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
To nurture an environment where all students and families feel welcome, safe, and valued.
In collaboration with the district Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion committee, this working group of administrators, parents and school staff meets regularly to develop a shared understanding of educational equity and examine site practices to ensure equitable outcomes for all students. In addition to providing multicultural learning experiences for students, the site EDI group works to support the Miller Creek School District equity goals:
- Raise equity consciousness of staff, students and community members.
- Improve instruction so that all students prosper and grow. Use assessments and data to show individual student growth. Reduce predictability of student achievement.
- Use the lens of equity in decision making, policy making, and instructional decisions.
