Phase 4 Reopening Plans

Traditional Return Date: While there is the certainty of a full student return there still remain details to be sorted out. This week we should have a more definitive path so thank you for your patience. The latest information from Marin Public Health is coming in fast. For example, we are expecting the social distancing guidelines to shift and another drop from the Red Tier to Orange. Stay tuned as this week promises to be quite the informative one especially as relates to the April 12th model.

We understand the impact a change in the school schedule has on families and are working diligently to share information as soon as possible.

Fall Return

In grades K-8, upon the recommendation from Marin Public Health Officers, the District is planning for a fall return to school with our typical 5 day a week, full-day schedule.

Guidance For Gatherings from the Department of Public Health

As the health conditions in our county continue to improve, it is important to remember the safe practices that support a healthy community.

Guidance for the Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission for Gatherings

A little humor and health reminder from our Health Specialist, Kristen Geller...

What did the bottled water say to the spy?

The name's Bond.....Hydrogen Bond.

Please send your student to school with a full water bottle every day. Our drinking fountains on campus are disabled because of current health precautions so a personal water bottle is essential to staying hydrated. Remind your student that it's important to keep drinking water throughout the day, even if they don't feel thirsty. By the time they feel thirsty, they're already slightly dehydrated. The #1 reason students come to the Eagle's Nest is a headache and the #1 reason for a headache is dehydration.

Parent Racial Equity Series with Dr. Lori Watson

Over fifty parents, teachers, and administrators joined the conversation last week with Dr. Lori Watson as she engaged participants in the second of four seminars on racial equity.

Our next conversation will explore the idea of shifting the focus to developing strategies that support the most marginalized groups in our community. Thank you to Teri Bleiweiss for sharing this article with me:  Why DEI Work and Racism Need to Decenter Whiteness

It provides interesting background information for the conversation.

Want to join us? Register for the remaining two seminars by clicking here. It is not necessary to attend the previous seminars to join the thrid and fourth ones.

March 29th, 6:00-7:30 (Whiteness) and May 24th, 6:00-7:30 (Children and Race)
