Volunteer Appreciation Assembly
End of the Year Dance Party
Save the date for our End of Year dance party on Friday, June 3rd from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Vallecito Quad. All kids and families are welcome to this free event. We'll have music for all ages and lots of fun surprises. More info to come!
Our annual Vallecito Field Day is TUESDAY, JUNE 7TH.
Field Day is a fun-filled event that gives our kids a way to celebrate the school year coming to an end by spending some time being active outside.
All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and boosted and no experience is necessary. We need game station volunteers and photographers as well as a post-event popsicle distribution team. This will be a super fun event - don't forget your water bottles and sunscreen! Please review available volunteer slots and sign up today!

Health Update
We are experiencing an increase in COVID-19 positive cases. Several of our classrooms are required to wear masks again in order to mitigate the spread and reduce the transmission at school. We are united in our desire to keep school safely open for our students and ask that you support our staff and students in the following ways:
- Wear a mask when inside on campus. Masks are required for school community events that are indoors and will have more than 50 people present.
- Continue to watch your child for symptoms and keep sick students home. Contact the front office with questions.
Thank you for your support and partnership.

May 16- May 27 (3rd-5th Grade)
Here is the website that is provided for families by the state with information about the CAASPP and CAST tests. Parents can find sample test questions and more detailed information about the tests, score reports, and additional resources to support their child with testing. There's no need to log in to anything and the site is translated into multiple languages. It's very user friendly for those families wanting to learn more about the tests.
Adopt a Family of Marin is running their 4th annual Backpack Open House! Give back to our amazing Marin community by donating new backpacks and school supplies to prepare students for next year. The Dove
Flying over the hills, you can see the dove
The symbol of peace, the symbol of love
It takes its time, so beautiful it flies
Filling up hearts and widening minds.
It glides around, observing the earth
Sees fathers hugging and mothers giving birth
Smiles and frowns, bruises black and blue
Its eyes fill with tears, it feels our pain too
It sees battles and handshakes, and people in need
People alone, and mouths to feed
Countries all over, devasted by war,
People scowling, slamming their doors
But it sees hope also, just in time
Children and grown ups, with brilliant minds
People embracing, with kindness and love
Under the eyes of this beautiful dove.
